Towering above the crimson phalanxes of the Skitarii, Sydonian Dragoons are bipedal Ironstrider engines that lope across the wasteland at terrifying speeds without ever powering down. Invented in M33 by the brilliant Tech-Priest Aldebrac Vingh, the Ironstrider Engine operates as a near-perpetual-motion machine driven by the thermo-kinetic feedback of a hardwired servitor goaded behind its gyroscope. Because the last secrets of its ignition vanished upon Vingh's mysterious death, the Adeptus Mechanicus dares never turn an Ironstrider off: between wars they are corralled onto giant treadmills or walked in endless circles around Martian forge-spires.
