Crownworld Mandragora — Biotransference, The Flayer Curse & C'tan Shards

Sixty million years ago, the short-lived, radiation-blighted Necrontyr Empire waged a futile war of jealousy against the immortal Old Ones until they discovered star-vampires of pure energy feeding on their sun: the C'tan. Tricked by Mephet'ran the Deceiver into marching their entire species into the roaring 'Bio-Furnaces', the Necrontyr surrendered their diseased flesh and had their neural engrams transferred into living-metal 'Necrodermis' bodies—only for the Silent King, Szarekh, to realize too late that the C'tan had devoured every Necrontyr soul in the process. Rebelling at the end of the War in Heaven, Szarekh shattered the C'tan into Tesseract-bound shards and erased his command-protocols before entering sixty million years of Great Sleep.
