Departmento Munitorum Tactica Imperialis & Attrition Ledgers

To the Departmento Munitorum, an Astra Militarum regiment is a consumable munition measured in transport tonnage, daily corpse-starch rations, and las-pack recharge cycles. Every world's Planetary Defence Force (PDF) must surrender its top ten percent of fighting men and women each Founding to the Imperial Tithe. Once loaded aboard cavernous bulk-transports of the Navis Imperialis, nine out of ten Guardsmen will never see their homeworld again.

Beneath the heroic propaganda of the 'Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer'—whose possession is mandatory and whose defacement is punishable by firing squad—lies a brutal reality of penal legions wired with explosive chem-collars, abhuman auxiliaries treated as sub-human shields, and 'Fifteen-Hours' attrition zones where the average lifespan of a replacement trooper in a contested trench-line is less than a single solar rotation.

Sub-Factions, Secret Orders & Classified Relics

  • Savlar Chem-Dogs — Penal legionnaires recruited from the toxic mining pits of Savlar, permitted to loot battlefield corpses and inhale illegal 'nitro-chem' combat inhalers in exchange for taking on suicide assaults.
  • Maccabian Janissaries & Elysian Drop Troops — Elite regiments ranging from silver-masked religious zealots of the Calixis Sector to grav-chute airborne raiders who drop directly onto enemy anti-air batteries.
  • Tanith First-and-Only, Vostroyan Firstborn & Mordian Iron Guard — Celebrated regiments defined by unique homeworld cultures: stealth woodcraft from a destroyed world, heirloom-armoured firstborn sons, and iron volley-discipline.
