Palace of Thorns (New Badab) — The Tyrant of Badab & The Maelstrom Fleet

Originally the fiercely proud 'Astral Claws' Chapter appointed by the High Lords to lead the 'Maelstrom Warders' (alongside the Lamenters, Mantis Warriors, and Charnel Guard), Chapter Master Lufgt Huron petitioned Terra for reinforcements to conquer the Maelstrom permanently. When the Administratum refused and demanded his gene-seed tithes, Huron withheld the Sector's planetary taxes, expanded the Astral Claws to an illegal 3,500-strong 'Tyrant's Legion', and sparked the bloody Badab War (901–912.M41). Defeated at the Palace of Thorns and half-vaporized by Star PhantomsCaptain Zhrukal Androcles's melta-blast, Huron was dragged into the Maelstrom by his surviving 200 brothers—emerging as 'Huron Blackheart' and building a pirate empire on New Badab that rivals the Black Legion in void-ships.

• The Wolf of Fenris (Captured Space Wolves Strike Cruiser) — In 937.M41, Huron Blackheart ambushed and boarded the Space Wolves strike cruiser 'Wolf of Fenris', forcing half its surviving crew to swear the Blood Oath and defect to the Red Corsairs.
• The Tyrant's Tournament of Blood — Annual arena games on New Badab where captured Space Marines and xenos fight for Huron's amusement.
